I am a researcher, genealogist, family historian, librarian, blogger and author, with over 25 years of experience. I love to research people's family histories, as well as teach beginners how to get started with their own. I offer document retrieval and copying from State Records NSW, the Mitchell Library, the State Library of New South Wales, and the Bicentennial Project Archives Resource Kit (ARK). I subscribe to many genealogical databases and belong to a large number of socially networked family history groups, including the Society of Australian Genealogists, Newcastle (NSW) Family History Society, and the Norfolk (UK) Family History Society I can also research the history of your house or property.
Family Trees:
Don't have time to research and build your own family tree?
I can do the work for you, using multiple databases, official records, newspapers, certificates and photos plus more to bring your family's story to life. I use the Genealogical Proof Standard, DNA, and forensic analysis methods to ensure that the leaves I add to your tree are meant to be there. Finding out that you have been climbing someone else's tree instead of your own can be disappointing and frustrating. Using the right research techniques can prevent this from happening so you can grow your tree with confidence.
I search for as many records as are available to add colour to your tree and flesh out the characters that make up your ancestors. Trees can range from a classic list of names and dates to a family book overflowing with documents and images. The depth of the results is up to you.
